Position Overview

This role is a fixed-term opportunity designed to fulfill the requirements of our service.

We are seeking TWO dedicated and passionate Psychological Support Assistants who possess strong interpersonal abilities and a background in working with individuals. A commitment to clinical excellence is essential, and we encourage candidates who are eager to grow, can work effectively under guidance, follow instructions, collaborate within teams, and are flexible and responsive to the service's demands. This position offers a remarkable chance for professional development within a supportive adult mental health framework, contributing significantly to enhancing access to psychological therapies in North Wales. The two positions available will be located in different regions.

Key Responsibilities

Under the guidance of experienced professionals, the successful candidates will assist in the advancement of psychological therapy initiatives in accordance with the stepped care model, specifically aiding qualified mental health practitioners in delivering support to individuals experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges. The roles will be supervised by qualified clinical psychologists, who will provide mentorship and clinical oversight. Familiarity with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques and group facilitation is advantageous, and there will be opportunities to acquire new skills in these roles. Additionally, the positions will involve contributing to service evaluations, audits, and various projects. Participation in multi-disciplinary team meetings and other relevant gatherings will be expected.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is preferred for this role; however, applications from both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged.
