About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Imaging Support Assistant to join our Diagnostic & Imaging team at One Hatfield Hospital. As an Imaging Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting radiographers and consultant radiologists with radiological procedures, ensuring the smooth operation of our imaging department.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist patients throughout their time in the imaging department, preparing them for procedures and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Assist radiographers in maintaining an efficient daily work list, workflow of patients, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Support radiologists in carrying out radiological examinations, preparing examination rooms, and maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
- Work closely with the appointments team to optimize session usage and ensure effective communication with all disciplines of radiology staff.
- Provide excellent patient care, maintaining a caring and supportive environment, and promoting a positive experience for patients and their families.
- Assist with maintaining a clean and tidy department, adhering to infection prevention and control policies, and ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Keep patient records up-to-date, including patient pathways and relevant IT reporting systems.
Requirements
- Minimum G.C.S.E. education or equivalent.
- Experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Basic computer skills and comprehensive written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn and develop, with a willingness to take on new challenges.
