Main duties and responsibilities
The School of Life and Medical Sciences at the University of Hertfordshire is seeking to appoint a Lecturer to make a major contribution to the BSc and MSc programmes in Sport and Exercise Science. You will make a significant contribution to the teaching and administration across the BSc and MSc degree programmes, specifically in the area of Sport and Exercise Psychology. In addition to teaching related duties and responsibilities, you will be encouraged and supported to join the increasingly successful research community within the University, recently ranked in UK's top 25% of all universities for research impact, and more specifically the Centre for Research in Psychology and Sports (CRePS); and/or to develop income-generating initiatives.

Skills and experience required
You will bring significant experience in the area of sport and exercise psychology. Applications will be welcomed from those with previous experience lecturing in a Higher Education institution, and with a research interest in the subjects of exercise psychology, sport psychology, health and wellbeing, behaviour change, or other related subjects.

You will be proficient in English Language, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deal with conflicting demands and priorities and be able to work to deadlines. Effective pastoral skills are essential, as is the ability to teach online and face to face, for lectures, workshops and practical. You will have the ability to work constructively as part of a team, with a flexible approach. Further to teaching duties, you will have research and/or consultancy experience at a level that is commensurate with your career stage.

Qualifications required
You will hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience and a postgraduate qualification, i.e. Masters and/or PhD in a relevant field or equivalent (or nearing completion). An Associate Fellowship of Advance HE (formerly the HEA), or able to attain within the first year in post is desirable for this role.
