About the Position
As a Lead Legal Content Editor specializing in Corporate and Commercial Law at Thomson Reuters, you will leverage your extensive legal expertise to develop and sustain a diverse array of high-quality legal content.
Your primary focus will be on English corporate-commercial law, while also overseeing specific materials related to Scots law.
Collaborating within a team of seasoned professionals, you will engage in a variety of stimulating legal and editorial tasks, including:
- Producing clear, current content for online platforms that accurately reflects the prevailing legal standards and meets the needs of our clients.
- Overseeing the commissioning, evaluation, and refinement of content created both internally and externally.
- Ensuring that all assigned content remains relevant and maintains the high standards necessary to fulfill business objectives and client expectations.
- Building relationships with external contributors to enhance content quality through their insights into legal practices.
In addition, the Lead Legal Content Editor will:
- Contribute to the growth and promotion of the Corporate and Commercial practice areas.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and other departments to achieve business goals, including direct engagement with clients.
About You
You will be an ideal candidate for the Lead Legal Content Editor role if you possess:
- Significant post-qualification experience as a lawyer in England & Wales, with some exposure to Scottish law, particularly in corporate-commercial sectors.
- Expertise in areas such as:
- Terms and conditions for goods and services
- Confidentiality agreements
- General contract law, including standard provisions
- Document execution
- Company formation and management
- Private mergers and acquisitions
- Partnership agreements
- A strong passion for writing, coupled with exceptional attention to detail.
