Executive Assistant to the Chief Investment Officer

We are in search of a proactive and seasoned finance or investment professional to serve as the Chief of Staff to our Chief Investment Officer (CIO).
This position is crucial in advancing strategic projects, enhancing business development initiatives, cultivating essential industry connections, and investigating new investment avenues.
The successful candidate will have a robust background in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or related fields, along with a demonstrated ability to learn swiftly and establish valuable networks.
- Project Leadership:
~ Oversee and coordinate special projects alongside the CIO, including asset management for group investments, regional private equity partnerships, and formulating strategic plans for new markets. - Business Development:
Identify and explore new business ventures to broaden the investment scope of The Goddard School. - Networking:
Foster and sustain relationships with key players in the investment sector.
Act as a representative for The Goddard School at industry gatherings to elevate the institution's profile. - Investment Research:
Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to pinpoint potential investment opportunities across various sectors.
Assist in assessing co-investment prospects, drawing on previous experience. - Knowledge Enhancement:
Support the CIO in reviewing and assessing investment proposals from diverse teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees (MBA, CFA) are advantageous.
- 5-10 years of pertinent experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or similar roles.
- Proven capability to lead and manage intricate projects and initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of identifying and evaluating investment opportunities.
- Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills.
