Construction Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our estimating and sales teams at EMCOR UK. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to achieving targets and company objectives in Mission Critical Solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough building estimates for a range of projects within the MCS portfolio, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Develop innovative solutions to meet client requirements, staying up-to-date with industry knowledge and competitor methodologies.
- Prepare and compile proposal submissions, including solution and option appraisal of new methods of project delivery to identify valid and viable commercial delivery options.
- Proactively improve communications, management procedures, and systems to maximize profitability and operational efficiencies.
- Manage the implementation of best practices and common practices across the division to establish meaningful commercial and operational data.
- Obtain specialist subcontractor costs and read and understand client requests/documentation.
- Attend site visits as required across the UK as part of the bid process.
- Assist in the production of correspondence and documentation, updating the Pipeline Reporting System and contributing to BD Management information reports.
- Progress submitted tenders and assist in the formulation of tender returns.
- Establish agreed benchmarks for performance and measure performance versus contracted requirements.
- Identify cost-saving initiatives in line with contractual obligations and interact with client organizations as required, providing meaningful reports and proactive data and information.
- Education to HNC/HND standard (or equivalent).
- Ideal experience in Data Centre projects.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Relevant experience of estimating within a main contractor.
- Proficient IT skills, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Must have a driving license to travel to sites.
