Job Objective:

Corporate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.

Responsibilities: Demonstrate a solid track record with post-apprenticeship experience in project installation work, including electrical assessments. Install and modify electrical systems and components, including first fix containment, second fix installations, power, and lighting. Conduct all necessary testing and inspections to facilitate the completion of certification. Support the Project Manager/Supervisor by providing necessary information for estimates and quotations as needed. Adhere to safety protocols and apply sound engineering and safety practices. Be comfortable installing trays, ladders, conduits, etc., according to construction drawings. Commit to participating in company-standard internal training workshops and completing all mandatory training. Provide updates on project progress according to the Project Programme and follow Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS). Comply with all current company procedures. Follow the Quality Management System applied to all Mechanical & Electrical systems. Collaborate as a team member and foster relationships with all clients and potential new clients. Strive for continuous improvement and a focus on value for money. Willingness to work in secure and sensitive environments. If provided with a vehicle, maintain cleanliness and organization at all times and store materials safely. Keep administration teams informed of any changes in orders when collecting materials from suppliers. Direct colleagues as necessary based on experience to ensure the safe and timely delivery of specific tasks. Follow specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and drawings. Assist the Project Manager/Supervisor in overseeing subcontractors on-site to ensure safe practices and protect both them and EMCOR operatives from unsafe working conditions.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the relevant skills and qualifications to excel in this position. Qualified to City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ & C&G 18th Edition, C&G Inspection & Testing, and minimum requirements. Experience in commercial electrical installations and assessments. Familiarity with the installation of Low Voltage (LV) distribution systems. Experience with Direct Current (DC) and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems is advantageous but not essential. Knowledge of safe working practices and permit-to-work systems. Proven ability to engage and collaborate closely with internal and external clients and suppliers on complex and interrelated issues. Strong communication skills and a flexible approach to work patterns. First Aid, IPAF, and PASMA training will be provided if necessary, but prior certification is advantageous.
