Position: Literacy Support Facilitator

Location: Melksham

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (Part-Time roles available)

About the Role:

Protocol Education is seeking dedicated Literacy Support Facilitators to join our team in Primary schools across Melksham. These institutions are part of a reputable trust that has recently achieved a "Good" rating in their Ofsted inspection. The schools are committed to providing an enriching and challenging educational experience that is both enjoyable and relevant for their students' futures.

The ideal candidate will work closely with KS1 students, focusing on enhancing their literacy skills through targeted support. This role involves working with small groups of children aged 4 to 8, utilizing the Read Write Inc. Phonics program. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and preparing lesson materials, with resources provided.
  • Creating engaging activities aligned with the Read Write Inc. scheme.
  • Delivering phonics sessions effectively to support student learning.

Qualifications:

While a Level 2/3 Early Years Educator qualification is preferred, it is not mandatory if the candidate has relevant experience in Early Years, along with SEND certification and other phonics training qualifications being advantageous.
