Overview

POSITION: Product Owner for Transport Solutions

LOCATION: Stockport

WORK HOURS: Full time

WORKING STYLE: Our approach is hybrid, requiring at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, at one of our office locations.

About This Role

As one of the leading vehicle financing organizations in the UK, with over 1.1 million vehicles funded or leased through our services, we are committed to driving the transition to sustainable transportation. We are currently responsible for financing 1 in 8 Electric Vehicles on UK roads.

Through our three specialized brands – Lex Autolease, Tusker, and Black Horse – we have developed one of the industry's most comprehensive customer offerings, significantly enhancing the accessibility and affordability of eco-friendly vehicles.

However, merely providing funding is not enough; to effectively advance the sustainability agenda and achieve net-zero emissions, we must collaborate with industry stakeholders, government entities, and partners. Additionally, we aim to educate, empower, and engage businesses of all sizes and their employees to expedite the shift to Electric Vehicles.

We are excited to invite a talented individual to join our Transport Solutions team as a Product Owner. This is a pivotal moment for our Transport division as we embark on a transformative journey, backed by substantial investment, to enhance customer experiences and digitize our offerings.

The Product Owner will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of incremental value for a specific product, focusing on maximizing benefits for customers and end-users by ensuring that the team prioritizes effectively, in alignment with our Strategic Objectives and Key Results.

About Us

By joining us, you will not only contribute to meaningful change for our customers but also enjoy a rewarding career where you can be your authentic self. You will find supportive colleagues, innovative workspaces, hybrid working options, and a wide array of career development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the formulation of Platform Objectives & Key Results and provide data on product performance and benefits realization. Collaborate with Lead Engineers and Customer Journey Managers to decompose and appropriately size work items for product journey enhancements. Define the Product vision and roadmap in partnership with Integrators to identify critical dependencies, especially when changes are substantial or complex. Employ effective prioritization methods to refine and manage the Product backlog. Ensure governance for Product changes and oversee Business Readiness activities (e.g., training, communications, testing, and implementation readiness) for respective features, journeys, or technology components. Recognize the significance of demand versus capacity and utilize available data and metrics for effective planning. Take initiative to cultivate capabilities within a key functional area of the organization while also mentoring and supporting the development of others across the company. Foster positive relationships with senior business leaders to gain insights into long-term strategic challenges.

What You Will Need

Product Ownership – Demonstrated ability to manage a backlog supported by multiple teams, delivering both simple and complex technological changes to a product, and being accountable for its success or failure. Product Delivery – Proven experience in enhancing product development processes and Agile methodologies, tools, and techniques. Customer Focus – Advocate for customer outcomes within the team and ensure that efforts align with these goals. Anticipate customer needs and leverage their feedback to present targeted, integrated, and outcome-oriented solutions. Communication Skills – Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of effectively conveying ideas, proposals, and implications through clear and concise communication, enabling collaboration and successful outcomes. Leadership & Culture – Experience in driving cultural change initiatives to support various agendas within the organization, recognizing barriers to cultural transformation and the importance of leadership alignment.
