About the Position
The purpose of the Insight team is to drive data-informed decision-making by gaining a deeper understanding of our Customers, Colleagues, and the markets we engage with.
Our primary focus is to establish the customer agenda by skillfully integrating various data sources to pinpoint, evaluate, and prioritize growth opportunities, shape propositions, and assess their effectiveness. Our team excels in agile analytics, research, commercialization, business collaboration, storytelling, curation, and democratizing insights. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Data Analytics to generate profound insights about our customers, aligning with our strategic objectives.

Your Responsibilities
Contributing to the analytics vision and execution for the Insights Media team within the Online sector, covering Grocery Home Shopping, Click and Collect, Whoosh, and Marketplace. Transforming business challenges into analytical frameworks that can be addressed by a broad audience. Collaborating with fellow analysts across the UK, Bengaluru, and our extensive agency partnerships. Establishing standardized processes for analytics while innovating to enhance the overall impact, efficiency, and consistency of the team, sharing knowledge within the Tesco analytics community. Demonstrating passion for data and its potential to solve challenges, forecast behaviors, explore customer needs, assess performance, predict future outcomes, and uncover opportunities for Tesco. Balancing immediate customer requirements with the long-term advantages of enhancing team data literacy and analytics capabilities. Clearly articulating complex analytical and scientific methodologies to ensure comprehension among non-analysts. Working closely with the Insight team to effectively communicate insights to customers through engaging visualizations, compelling storytelling, and knowledge integration. Timely and accurately sourcing data, constructing models to validate the impact of media contributions. Presenting model outcomes (such as Attribution and regression analysis) to clients to optimize campaigns across various marketing channels including Above the Line Media, Performance Marketing, CRM, and In-Store Marketing. Utilizing Tesco's Clubcard database to create tailored audiences for marketing initiatives and establishing measurement protocols.Required Qualifications
Strong background in advanced analytics and statistical modeling applied in e-commerce contexts, utilizing both basic and advanced statistical models. Experience with big data environments and data visualization tools (preferably Hadoop & Tableau). A degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or Econometrics is preferred. Proficiency in statistical models and data analytics tools, including Python, SPARK, R, and SQL. Strong skills in MS Excel & PowerPoint, along with experience in Adobe Analytics / GA4 / Big Query for media effectiveness. Ability to solve problems with a commercial mindset.Benefits
