Customer Insight Specialist

The primary objective of the insights team is to drive decision-making through data-driven understanding of our Customers, Colleagues, and the markets we serve. Our main focus is to establish the customer agenda by skillfully integrating various data sources to pinpoint, evaluate, and prioritize growth opportunities, shape propositions, and assess their effectiveness. Our team's core functions include robust analytics, research, commercialization, business collaboration, storytelling, curation, and democratizing insights. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Data Analytics to generate profound insights about our customers, supporting a program of insights that aligns with our strategic objectives.
Your Responsibilities
Facilitating the analytics vision and execution for the Insights Media team for the Online sector, covering Grocery Home Shopping, Click and Collect, Whoosh, and Marketplace. Transforming business challenges into analytical frameworks that can be addressed through various analytical techniques. Collaborating with fellow analysts in the UK, Bengaluru, or through our broader agency partnerships. Establishing standardized processes for analytics and innovating to enhance the overall impact, efficiency, and consistency of the team, while sharing knowledge with the analytics community. Exhibiting passion and enthusiasm for data and its potential to resolve issues, forecast behaviors, explore customer needs, assess performance, predict future outcomes, and identify opportunities. Balancing immediate customer demands with the long-term advantages of enhanced data literacy and analytics capabilities within the team. Communicating complex analytical and scientific methodologies in a clear manner for non-analysts. Working closely with the Insight team to effectively convey insights to customers through engaging visualizations, compelling storytelling, and knowledge integration. Timely and accurately sourcing data, constructing models to demonstrate the value of media contributions. Presenting model outcomes (such as Attribution and regression analysis) to clients to optimize campaigns across various marketing channels. Utilizing Tesco's Clubcard database to create tailored audiences for marketing initiatives and establishing measurement protocols.Required Qualifications
Strong background in advanced analytics and statistical modeling applied in e-commerce contexts, utilizing both basic and advanced statistical models. Experience with big data environments and data visualization tools (preferably Hadoop & Tableau). A degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or Econometrics is preferred. Proficiency in statistical models and data analytics tools such as Python, SPARK, R, and SQL is essential. Strong skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Analytics, GA4, and Big Query are also required. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and commercial acumen.Benefits
