Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Supervisor to join our team at Portfolio Payroll Limited. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for delivering efficient payroll and pension services, ensuring compliance with regulations and working closely with our team of payroll professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Payroll Processing: Process payrolls from beginning to end in accordance with current legislation, policies, and processes, ensuring that all payroll transactions are approved by an appropriately authorized person.
  2. Payroll Administration: Support the Payroll Manager in delivering payroll services, including processing Leavers, calculating Holiday payments, PILON, and other associated termination payments.
  3. Statutory Compliance: Calculate absence, including sickness, leave, and statutory payments, and process other payments/deductions, including Auto-enrolment, Court orders, and Contractual payments.
  4. Employee Data Management: Input changes to employee personal details, such as bank account and address details, and statutory changes, including P45, P46, P6, and P9.
  5. Confidentiality and Security: Maintain confidentiality and ensure sensitive files are protected appropriately.
  6. Ad-hoc Payments: Make ad-hoc payroll payments on occasion and support the team in responding to questions.
  7. Payroll Knowledge and Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Payroll legislation and internal policies, ensuring all payroll deadlines are met and quality levels are maintained.
  8. Payroll Projects: Support on a range of Payroll projects and assist with monitoring the payroll inbox and dealing with queries in a timely manner.
Requirements

5+ years' experience within payroll, preferably with clients/bureau experience.
