About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in Barrow-in-Furness. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering care to children and young people with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and plan care for children and young people with mental health needs
  • Deliver high-quality care and support to children and young people
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Develop and maintain relationships with children, young people, and their families
Requirements
  • Level 4 diploma in Counselling (essential)
  • Level 5 (desirable) and current registration with BACP
  • Postgraduate or professional qualification as a children's workforce practitioner (e.g. qualified teacher, youth worker, social worker, occupational therapist, healthcare practitioner or counsellor)
  • Current and clean driving licence
  • Safeguarding Level 2 certification
  • At least 2 years' experience working with children and young people with mental health needs
