About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adult Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our CAMHS service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and young people with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality service provision that promotes and improves the mental health and well-being of young people, their families, and carers.
  • Undertake needs-led, evidence-based assessments and therapeutic interventions to young people, their families, and carers, including those who present with deliberate self-harm.
  • Liaise and support robust partnership working arrangements between CAMHS and Adult Mental Health services, community partners, and other key stakeholders to develop an integrated package of care.
  • Provide a high level of generic skills and competencies, working towards the development of areas of clinical expertise within the field of ADHD, complementing other members of the team.

Person Specification
  • First-level nursing qualification, RMN or equivalent, with sufficient IT skills to undertake the post.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in assessing young people with complex mental health and/or complex needs, such as ADHD/ASD.
