London, Greater London, United Kingdom Ramboll Full time

Position Overview

Are you prepared to take a pivotal role in the green energy sector, facilitating offshore wind initiatives to meet international and national sustainability goals? If you are eager to leverage your expertise and enthusiasm to spearhead successful bids for offshore wind ventures worldwide, this position may be ideal for you. We are dedicated to fostering an environment that prioritizes collaboration, transparency, and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities

As our Senior Bid Manager, you will be instrumental in managing project-specific bid processes from inception to completion, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality, client-focused proposals. Your collaboration with Project Managers and tender teams will be essential in crafting and executing effective, client-oriented proposals.

Your role will also involve applying your commercial and technical knowledge to provide valuable assistance in account management and regional commercial initiatives. Your efforts will enhance teamwork across the wind division.

Your primary duties will include:

Leading the entire bid process proactively, coordinating the efforts of Ramboll's global engineering and advisory teams in the wind sector to guarantee the submission of high-quality, customized proposals. Assisting in the development of a bid strategy by engaging with internal and external stakeholders, formulating compelling value propositions, and guiding tender teams in planning and crafting proposals that align with established strategies. Planning, preparing, and compiling persuasive, well-structured proposals and bid documents. Utilizing and managing Ramboll's internal tools and processes (e.g., CRM, project excellence, decision gates) to efficiently track and develop opportunities, streamline communication within project teams, and consolidate necessary inputs from relevant teams. Improving our sales processes, tools, templates, and standard content to enhance efficiency and integrate industry best practices.

Team Dynamics

You will be part of our international Business Intelligence & Sales function, which supports Ramboll's global wind division with client and market insights across various regions and oversees its bid management and sales processes. You will coordinate, guide, and support cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with client and Ramboll Group requirements and guidelines.

Candidate Profile

From your first day at Ramboll, we will prioritize your personal and professional growth, enabling you to advance within the company. We have identified several qualifications, skills, and attributes that will contribute to your success in this role:

A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Business Communication, Engineering) or equivalent relevant experience. Proven experience in proposal or bid management, ideally within the energy sector. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (C1 level expected). A collaborative team player with strong project management capabilities, expected to work independently. A customer-centric mindset along with a solution-oriented and organized approach. Familiarity with public/private procurement processes and knowledge of commercial, contractual, and execution models.

What We Offer

An exceptional opportunity to be part of our Energy Division, collaborating with 2,000 experts across 15 countries, covering the full spectrum of technologies and all segments of the value chain. A competitive base salary, pension contributions, and a comprehensive benefits package. Continuous investment in your professional development. Supportive leadership guided by our Leadership Principles. The long-term vision of a foundation-owned company. A flexible working environment.
