Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Offshore Wind Consultant to join our esteemed international engineering consultancy. This role is pivotal in overseeing the entire project lifecycle for Offshore Wind Energy initiatives, encompassing project management, technical evaluations, and contributing to the growth of new offshore wind ventures.
This position offers a remarkable chance to become part of a distinguished multinational organization that maintains an innovative and dynamic atmosphere, with the goal of establishing a dedicated Wind Energy consultancy team in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison for clients, engaging in discussions with developers and financial stakeholders as necessary.
- Prepare comprehensive proposals detailing the scope of work, team composition, budgetary considerations, and timelines to meet client expectations.
- Coordinate and manage internal stakeholders to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
- Oversee large-scale offshore wind projects throughout all phases, from financing and sales to engineering design, contract review, and construction oversight.
- Supervise subconsultants and subcontractors, ensuring consistent quality and service across all projects.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments across various disciplines and project stages, proposing effective strategies for risk mitigation.
- Perform site visits as necessary during construction and operations & maintenance phases to ensure adherence to technical specifications regarding time, quality, and cost.
Qualifications:
- A relevant engineering degree; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in engineering consultancy, specifically in offshore wind project development, due diligence, or construction.
- Proven experience in onsite construction monitoring for offshore wind projects.
