Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative manager to join our team as an Associate Operations Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to build on your existing senior operational experience and contribute to the development of our services.

Main Duties
  • Deputise for the Operations Manager and take on responsibilities for managing and leading complex services in Trauma and Orthopaedics, Major Trauma, and Adult Critical Care.
  • Work alongside clinicians and senior nurses to lead and develop our services, in-line with the CUH strategy.
  • Develop and retain staff, with a focus on developing successful candidates into future Operational Managers.
  • Manage the service areas, ensuring the delivery of key targets within budgeted resources.
  • Contribute to strategic and annual business planning, including engagement with senior medical and other staff.
  • Lead the planning, development, and implementation of service improvement, capital, and other projects.
  • Lead clinical governance processes and assist in the management of risk.

Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • First Degree Level or equivalent.
    • Masters Level or equivalent level of experience in senior operational management.
    • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
    • Completion of or willingness to work towards CUH Improvement Coach status.
  • Desirable:
    • Postgraduate Management qualification.
    • Project Management or Improvement and Transformation Qualification (Prince II, Six Sigma, or Lean).
