Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Operations Manager to join our team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Division A leadership team, you will play a critical role in managing and leading complex services in Trauma - Orthopaedics, Major Trauma, and Adult Critical Care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deputise for the Operations Manager and take on leadership responsibilities for the business unit, working with autonomy and authority to act on behalf of the Operations Manager.
  • Manage the service areas, ensuring the delivery of key targets within the budgeted resources available.
  • Contribute to strategic and annual business planning for the business unit, including engagement with senior medical and other staff.
  • Lead the planning, development, and implementation of service improvement, capital, and other projects for the business unit.
  • Lead clinical governance processes within the business unit and assist in the management of risk.

Requirements
  • Education to First Degree Level or equivalent.
  • Experience in senior operational management within a clinical area covering multiple specialities and pathways.
  • Knowledge of inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic requirements of pathways.
  • Proven experience in improvement and service transformation.
  • Experience in the development and use of a range of IT systems.
