About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to join our team at Poundstretcher. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of retail professionals to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Ensure that customers receive a high level of service, responding to their needs and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Sales Performance: Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities, implementing measures to drive sales growth and improve profitability.
  • Team Management: Recruit, train, and develop a team of retail professionals to achieve store objectives, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Store Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring that all company standards are implemented and maintained, including health and safety protocols.
  • Inventory Management: Manage stock levels, ensuring that the store is well-stocked and that inventory is turned over efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in a discount retail environment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Commercial Awareness: Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to analyze sales data and implement measures to drive sales growth.
  • Inventory Management: Experience in managing inventory levels and controlling costs.
