Job Summary:
NHS National Services Scotland is seeking an experienced Optometrist to join our team in a permanent, part-time capacity. As an Optometrist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality eye care services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work within our Optometry teams to manage patients with paediatric and low vision needs.
- Provide clinical supervision to junior staff, including Pre-Registration Optometrists and Health Care Support Workers.
- Cover clinics across various sites, requiring a willingness to travel.
- Participate in staff and clinic rotations to develop skills and expertise in extended roles within Ophthalmology.
Requirements:
- Hold a Degree in Optometry and be registered with the General Optical Council.
- Previous hospital experience is desirable but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with patients and colleagues.
