Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist to join our team at NHS Scotland. The successful candidate will provide acute older adult liaison services to the wards of the Inverclyde Royal Hospital and associated Larkfield Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Consultant input to Inverclyde care homes
  • Work closely with three liaison nurses to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Contribute to case-based discussion and local management meetings with other Old Age Psychiatrists
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for older adult patients
  • Collaborate with the Community Mental Health team to provide integrated care
Requirements
  • Full GMC Registration and a license to practise
  • Eligibility for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register
  • Higher specialist training leading to CCT or within 6 months of confirmed entry
  • Equivalent training for non-UK applicants
What We Offer
  • A full-time post on a 10 PA basis
  • Up to 2 EPA's available for additional outpatient and/or procedure sessions or management activity
  • Additional Non DCC (up to 2 PA's in total) for supporting professional activities and service needs
  • A minimum of 1 Core Supporting Professional Activity (SPA) for newly qualified Consultants
