Job Title: Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry to join our team at NHS Scotland. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric care for patients registered at GP practices within Greenock, Port Glasgow, and Kilmacolm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient and inpatient care for patients in the Eastern portion of Inverclyde.
  • Work closely with the Old Age Psychiatry Liaison team to provide liaison cover to over 65 patients within Inverclyde Royal Hospital and local care home residents.
  • Collaborate with the community team based at Inverclyde Royal and Crown House in Greenock.

Requirements:

  • Full GMC Registration and a license to practise.
  • Eligibility for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register.
  • Higher specialist training leading to CCT or within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview.

  • Up to 2 EPA's available to undertake additional outpatient and/or procedure sessions or management activity.

Additional Information:

All newly qualified Consultants are initially offered a minimum of 1 Core Supporting Professional Activity (SPA) which includes CPD, audit, clinical governance, appraisal, revalidation, job planning, and management meetings.
