About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Children's Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children with physical health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children with varied and complex difficulties.
  • Work as a member of a team to deliver a high-quality service to children and their families.
  • Liaise with health, education, and social services to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Develop and deliver individualized treatment programs for children with diverse presentations and complex physical conditions.
  • Supervise, educate, and assess the performance of students, ensuring they meet the standards set by the degree-level qualification.
  • Contribute to evidence-based audit and research projects to further improve clinical practice within the team.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration with the Health Care Professions Council.
  • Membership of RCOT.
  • Evidence of continuous and current clinical, professional, leadership, and academic development relevant to clinical fields.
  • Clinical Educators/Field worker course or equivalent.
