About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our fast-paced and dynamic Approved Mental Health Service (AMHP) team. As a Senior Social Worker, you will be passionate about demonstrating expert and effective practice in complex situations, often in pressurized environments. You will work collaboratively with statutory and non-statutory/voluntary agencies to ensure a joined-up approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake statutory assessments and triage initial enquiries in line with statutory duties
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies and the local community to provide a supportive framework for vulnerable people
  • Develop strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Provide advice and guidance in complex situations, modeling good practice and expertise
  • Mentor and support newly qualified and experienced team members

Requirements

  • Qualified social worker with current Social Work England registration
  • Approved Mental Health Professional Mental Health Act 1983 as recognized by ECC
  • Significant experience in complex care, modeling good practice and providing advice and guidance
  • Ability to mentor and support colleagues
  • Comprehensive understanding of current legislation, regulations, and guidance
