Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • MBBS qualification.
  • A minimum of 4 years of full-time postgraduate training or equivalent experience, including at least 2 years in a relevant specialty training program.
  • Full registration with the GMC and a license to practice at the time of appointment.
  • Strong expertise in the specialty area.
  • Capability to fulfill responsibilities under MHA and MCA.

Desirable Criteria

  • Additional qualifications or higher degrees in medical education, clinical research, or management.
  • MRCPsych qualification.
  • Good standing with GMC regarding practice conditions.
  • Approved under S12 or the ability to achieve this within 3 months of appointment.
