Medical Doctor

University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Doctor to join our team in the Department of Medicine at St Richard's Hospital, Chichester. This is an exciting opportunity for a Trust Doctor to gain valuable experience in General and Elderly Medicine departments, working closely with experienced training Consultants and participating in regular supervision meetings.
Main Duties of the JobAs a Clinical Duties Post Holder, you will work closely with junior doctors, Physicians Associates, and specialist nursing practitioners. You will have the opportunity to choose your preferred clinical team and decide to switch every 4 months or stay with the same team for a year. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assessing and managing cases at our Trust, especially in cardiac arrest teams.
- Guiding medical students and junior doctors with your clinical expertise, communication skills, initiative, and leadership qualities.
- Participating in departmental audits and educational audits to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Supervising FY1 doctors and managing acute medical admissions and in-patient care.
