Position Overview

As a Lead Social Media Strategist, you will collaborate with our dynamic team to oversee the social media presence for Frasers Group, managing community accounts across various sports categories including Running, Boxing, and Training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the team to implement and execute social media strategies, ensuring alignment with our core objectives.
  • Develop and schedule engaging content that resonates with our audience, adhering to our strategic framework.
  • Create detailed social media plans and schedules that provide transparency to internal teams and stakeholders regarding upcoming content.
  • Maintain active engagement across all social platforms, with a primary focus on Instagram and TikTok, while also managing Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
  • Foster an interactive online community by responding to inquiries and participating in discussions on relevant topics, crafting compelling copy that captures attention.
  • Conduct daily assessments of all social media channels, including competitor analysis, to share insights and innovative ideas with the broader team.
  • Identify emerging trends and hashtags, ensuring our brand is actively involved in pertinent conversations.
  • Leverage our extensive library of existing content while generating fresh and original content ideas for execution.
  • Establish and maintain our brand's social media voice, guided by our brand positioning and evolution.
  • Collaborate with creative and production teams to draft social media deliverables and briefs for photo and video shoots.
  • Attend events to capture and report on community moments, with opportunities to be featured in content.
  • Provide analytical reports to creative teams and the wider organization, showcasing your expertise in social media.
  • Work alongside the paid media team to implement paid campaigns, distributing content across platforms where our audience engages.
  • Travel may be required for national and international engagements.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the sports and retail sectors.
  • Experience in team leadership is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and time management in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects.
  • Strong attention to detail in both creative and copywriting aspects.
  • Ability to interpret and translate brand direction into impactful social media content.
  • Capability to identify relevant cultural insights and integrate them into creative strategies.
  • In-depth understanding of social media engagement and evolving user behaviors, with the ability to convert data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent facilitation skills for workshops and creative brainstorming sessions.
  • Proficiency in developing inspiring creative briefs for the content creation team.
  • A passion for sports is essential.
