Lead Management Accountant

RG Consultancy is pleased to collaborate with a growing manufacturing organization. We are seeking a Management Accountant who is eager to take on a pivotal role within the finance team. This position is ideal for candidates nearing the completion of their accounting qualifications and looking for substantial career growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements for the management team, ensuring timely delivery of critical information and KPIs to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Accurate reporting of sales data, including the cost analysis of all products sold.
- Oversight of inventory reporting, maintaining accurate records for the Stock Controller and Sales Departments regarding stock levels and consignment accounts.
- Timely submission of monthly VAT returns to HMRC to ensure prompt reimbursement of owed funds.
- Focus on scrap reporting and invoicing for scrap materials collected.
- Lead the administration and evaluation of the annual stock count, preparing necessary documentation and calculating year-end stock figures for auditor compliance.
- Provide coverage for the Accounts Technician during their absence, effectively managing most responsibilities.
- Collaborate on payroll matters with the Accounts Technician, offering support on any discrepancies in employee compensation.
- Coordinate all statutory audit requirements with external auditors, delivering interim work as needed.
- Manage company cash flow, generating ad-hoc reports for weekly meetings with key stakeholders.
- Oversee foreign exchange transactions, liaising with external providers to facilitate timely supplier payments.
- Assist in Credit Control efforts, supporting the Accounts Technician in addressing customer payment issues.
- Lead communications with HMRC regarding VAT, Duty PAYE, National Insurance, and company benefits, supplying necessary information as requested.
- Manage submissions to the Office for National Statistics, providing required data on a monthly basis.
- Preparation and posting of all monthly and annual accruals and prepayments.
