Position Overview: Administrative Support Specialist

We are pleased to present an opportunity for an Administrative Support Specialist role within the Unmanned Systems division of Huntington Ingalls Industries. This is a part-time position requiring 20 hours of commitment each week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver administrative assistance for ISO and Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) initiatives as instructed by the Senior Administration Supervisor.
  • Conduct inventory assessments as necessary.
  • Support the Office Supervisor with various administrative functions.
  • Perform general reception tasks.
  • Manage filing, archiving, supply requisitions, scanning, copying, and invoice processing.
  • Engage with clients via phone for non-technical inquiries.
  • Prepare training materials for educational sessions.
  • Facilitate logistics for conferences and trade shows.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience along with a Bachelor's degree in a pertinent field, or 1 year of relevant experience with a Master's degree, or a High School Diploma accompanied by 7 years of relevant experience.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Self-driven and proactive.

Physical Demands:

The role may involve minor lifting and transporting of boxes containing records or equipment.
