About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Centre Manager at Drumfork Community Centre, located within the Ministry of Defence. As a Centre Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and safe operation of the centre, ensuring that all activities and events run smoothly and efficiently.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including the Armed Forces community, local residents, and centre users. You will also have a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service and managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the centre, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and health and safety protocols.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with centre users, local stakeholders, and community groups to ensure that the centre meets the needs of the community.
  • Work closely with the management team to shape and lead a programme of activities for the Armed Forces and wider community.
  • Manage the centre's bookings diary, including taking payments for room bookings and ensuring that all events and activities are well-organized and run smoothly.
  • Be responsible for the maintenance of the centre's facilities, including the building, equipment, and grounds.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • A proven track record of delivering excellent customer service and managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experience of working in a community or customer-facing role, with a strong understanding of the needs of the Armed Forces community.
