Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and Lead the Recruitment Team: Provide guidance and support to the recruitment team to ensure that they are equipped to handle day-to-day recruitment activities.
  • Ensure Compliance with Recruitment Procedures: Ensure that all recruitment activities are conducted in accordance with established procedures, company policies, and relevant employment legislation.
  • Lead Recruitment Vacancies and Future Requirements: Coordinate and lead the recruitment process for all vacancies, including reviewing and processing CVs, conducting interviews, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is obtained and recorded.
  • Provide Support to Heads of Department and Rig Managers: Advise and support Heads of Department and Rig Managers on best practices for recruitment and selection.
  • Ensure Compliance with Maritime Labour Convention: Ensure that all internal employing companies and external 3rd party personnel providers adhere to the Maritime Labour Convention, including collating, auditing, and recording required certification annually.
  • Review and Implement Succession Planning: Review and implement succession planning to ensure that future recruitment needs are met.
  • Review and Analyze Labour Market Conditions: Continuously review and analyze labour market conditions, trends, and skills shortages to inform recruitment strategies.
  • Promote Digitalisation and Automation Objectives: Promote and implement the company's digitalisation and automation objectives as they relate to the recruitment process, procedures, and software.
  • Review and Approve Contracts of Employment: Review and approve all contracts of employment before issuance to the employer and employee.
  • Control Preferred Supplier List: Responsible for controlling the Preferred Supplier List for recruitment agency use.
  • Prepare Weekly Recruitment Reports: Prepare weekly recruitment reports for the Chief HR Officer.
Requirements
  • High School Education: A high school education is required.
  • Knowledge of UK/International Employment Legislation: Knowledge of UK/International employment legislation and regulations is essential.
  • Suitable Recruitment Experience: Suitable recruitment experience at a senior level is required.
  • Previous Experience of Recruiting for Drilling Disciplines: Previous experience of recruiting for all levels of drilling disciplines is essential.
  • Proactive and Adaptable: Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Self-Motivated and Ability to Motivate Others: Self-motivated and able to motivate others.
  • Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential.
  • HR or Recruitment Qualification: An HR or recruitment qualification is desirable.
  • Member of Professional HR Institute: Membership of a professional HR institute is desirable.
