Warehouse Operations Manager

We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to become a vital part of our logistics team at MISSOMA. In this position, you will be tasked with managing daily warehouse functions to ensure the effective and precise handling of products. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the reception, storage, and shipment of items, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and ensuring that goods are processed promptly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team of warehouse staff, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Organize work schedules, delegate tasks, and assess team performance while providing training and growth opportunities.
  • Encourage a workplace culture focused on precision, detail orientation, and collaboration.
  • Supervise the receiving, storing, and shipping of jewellery products.
  • Keep precise inventory records and conduct regular checks to avoid discrepancies.
  • Establish and uphold quality control protocols to guarantee that all items meet company standards prior to shipment.
  • Continuously monitor key performance indicators such as order accuracy, picking and packing efficiency, and stock discrepancies. Analyze these metrics to identify patterns, strengths, and areas for enhancement.
  • Develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline warehouse processes.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to oversee inventory and workflow.
  • Collaborate with various teams including Merchandising, Retail, Product Design, Wholesale, and Customer Care to ensure warehouse operations align with business goals.
  • Ensure the prompt and accurate fulfillment of customer orders, minimizing errors and delays.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external partners, including suppliers and logistics providers.
  • Address and resolve any challenges related to order fulfillment and customer service.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on warehouse performance metrics, including inventory levels and order accuracy.
  • Analyze data to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Propose and implement enhancements to improve warehouse efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Competencies & Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory capacity within a warehouse or logistics setting, preferably in the jewellery or luxury goods sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in warehouse management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with the Peoplevox warehouse management system or Shopify e-commerce platform is advantageous.
  • A forklift license is a plus.
