About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our team at FMCG Exec. As a key member of our logistics and supply chain team, you will be responsible for managing the overall warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Management: Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order picking, and dispatch.
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of warehouse operatives to meet operational goals.
- Inventory Control: Implement and maintain efficient stock control systems and procedures.
- Health and Safety: Ensure all health and safety standards are adhered to and promote a safety-first culture.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.
- Warehouse Layout: Manage the warehouse layout and optimize space to accommodate business growth.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., procurement, logistics) to streamline operations.
- Staff Management: Handle staff recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Budget Management: Manage budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Technical Skills: Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of health and safety regulations and warehouse best practices.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
- Hands-on Approach: A hands-on approach to managing day-to-day warehouse operations and driving improvements.
