We are thrilled to announce a remarkable opportunity for a dedicated individual to become a part of our St Helen's Resilience Service as a Lead Child Wellbeing Specialist. About the Service:

This service is designed to assist secondary school-aged children in St Helens, fostering their mental health, confidence, resilience, and overall potential. Through the THRIVE 'Getting Help' model, we will offer therapeutic one-on-one sessions, group activities, and counseling support within the community.

Role Overview – Lead Child Wellbeing Specialist

We are seeking an individual who will:

  • Play a vital role in the management team.
  • Supervise and develop a team of therapeutic professionals.
  • Utilize individual strengths to ensure high-quality service delivery.

We are looking for someone who is committed to:

  • The emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people.
  • Enhancing outcomes for children and young people.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in overseeing therapeutic and support interventions.
  • A thorough understanding of child safeguarding practices.
  • Extensive experience in line management.

Additional Requirements:

The successful applicant must demonstrate:

  • A minimum of a diploma-level qualification in counseling, child and adolescent psychotherapy, art, play, drama, or music therapy, including at least 100 hours of supervised practice.

Shortlisting Criteria:

  • Experience in overseeing therapeutic and support interventions.
  • A comprehensive understanding of child safeguarding.
  • Experience in line management.
  • Experience or a solid understanding of the emotional health of children and young people.
