Barnardo's NI is looking to recruit a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our regional Independent Guardian team.

The role of a Child Advocacy Specialist is rooted in the Human Trafficking and Exploitation Act and plays a vital part in safeguarding the rights of children and young individuals who may be victims of trafficking or exploitation.

This position is focused on our Western locality, and the successful candidate will primarily operate within the Western Health and Social Care Trust and Northern Health and Social Care Trust areas (though there may be occasions where work in other regions is required based on service needs).

While this role is specifically for the Western and Northern Health and Social Care Trust areas, a waiting list will be established for successful candidates who may be offered positions in other regions.

An information session for interested candidates will be conducted via MS Teams.

Hours: 37 per week

Salary: £34,696 - £42,541 FTE

Fixed Term: Until 31 March 2025 (may be extended, subject to funding)
