Customer Team Member/Bakery Sales Associate

Minimum 16 Hours Per Week - with potential for additional hours.

Flexible shifts available, including evenings and weekends.

We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Customer Team Member in our Bakery Section. In this role, you will be essential in assisting our store management and enhancing the customer experience. Your contributions will help maximize sales and profitability by executing assigned tasks that foster continuous improvement within the store, ensuring exceptional customer service through our core principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Preparation of all bakery items, including cooking breakfast and lunch offerings, baking cookies and bread, and handling ingredients in line with established protocols.
  • Welcoming customers with a friendly demeanor.
  • Responding to customer inquiries regarding products and services, assisting them in locating desired items.
  • Efficiently processing customer transactions through the tills while maintaining a positive and approachable service.
  • Promoting selected products and highlighting special offers to optimize sales.
  • Complying with all food safety, handling, and sanitation standards during food preparation and service.

Store Operations:

  • Managing stock levels; verifying deliveries, restocking shelves, and ensuring a clean and organized sales area while rotating stock for freshness.
  • Completing additional assigned tasks such as date checking, stock audits, price adjustments, promotional displays, and other duties as required.
  • Adhering to all company policies and operational procedures.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or industry is advantageous.
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Understanding of retail legislative responsibilities and the capability to assist in compliance.
  • Ability to contribute innovative ideas for delivering outstanding customer service and advancing the business.
  • Experience with a 'Challenge 25' policy is desirable.
  • Enthusiastic and proactive approach to working both collaboratively and independently.
  • Prior cash handling experience is preferred but not mandatory.
