About the Initiative:

The coalition aims to create a sustainable future for people, nature, and climate. FOLU promotes evidence-based solutions and fosters a shared understanding of the challenges and opportunities necessary for collective action. The coalition's Growing Better report outlines an integrated reform agenda across ten critical transitions to achieve positive outcomes for the environment, health, inclusive development, and food security, ensuring alignment with global sustainable development, climate, and biodiversity objectives. FOLU's leadership is provided by an International Partners group, which includes notable organizations such as The Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), EAT, the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), Systemiq, World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), World Farmers' Organisation (WFO), and the World Resources Institute (WRI). FOLU operates Country Platforms in various nations, including Brazil, China, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Ethiopia, and Kenya, with coordination managed by the Global Secretariat at WRI's London office.

    • Support annual and multi-year project planning to align fundraising priorities with project development.
  • Proposal Development (30%):
    • Take a leadership role in coordinating, writing, and editing proposals for multi-team FOLU initiatives, particularly those in the six- and seven-figure range.
    • Encourage collaboration among FOLU stakeholders during the proposal development process.
    • Gain a comprehensive understanding of WRI's cost and pricing principles.
  • Support for Country and International Partner Fundraising (20%):
    • Assist FOLU Country Platforms and International Partners in their fundraising efforts by sharing donor insights and providing support for proposal development.
    • Offer guidance and training on developing donor engagement plans as needed.

Qualifications:
