Compensation:

Competitive - Based on experience, skills, and qualifications, starting from £38K per annum.

About Us

City & Guilds Training Electrical specializes in providing a wide array of electrical courses, catering to both experienced electricians and those new to the field. Our programs encompass various levels in electrical installation and renewable technologies, ensuring a thorough educational experience.

As part of City & Guilds, a registered charity and Royal Chartered Institute, you will be joining over 145 years of esteemed technical expertise in skills development.

Role Responsibilities

As an Electrical Training Specialist, your responsibilities will include delivering both practical and theoretical electrical training, in accordance with company and awarding organizations' standards.

You will conduct courses such as C&G 2365 Level 2 & 3, C&G 2382, C&G 2391, C&G 2377, C&G 2921, as well as BPEC Solar PV and Battery Storage, while potentially developing training materials tailored to specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality electrical installation training consistently
  • Assessing courses in line with guidelines and maintaining accurate records
  • Reviewing student performance and implementing necessary actions
  • Ensuring adherence to Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity policies
  • Collaborating effectively within the team and with external stakeholders

Candidate Profile:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Recent, relevant industry experience in domestic, commercial, and/or industrial electrical installation
  • Minimum Level 3 Teaching qualification or equivalent, or be an experienced Electrician ready to transition into teaching
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
  • Strong understanding of Electrical and Science principles
  • Practical skills in Electrical Installations

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Assessing qualification or equivalent
  • Level 4 Internal Quality Audit certificate or equivalent
  • Additional Level 3 & 4 electrical qualifications such as C&G 2396, C&G 2391, and/or green credentials (Solar PV, EV, EESS)

Personal Attributes:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects independently
  • Problem-solving mindset with a patient and composed demeanor
  • Leadership qualities combined with a collaborative approach
  • Full UK Driving License

The successful candidate will be required to undergo appropriate checks, including an enhanced DBS disclosure and verification of the right to work in the UK.
