Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as an Engineering Trainer - Electrical Installation. As a key member of our training team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical training to apprentices in electrical installation and testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs in electrical installation and testing, including theoretical and practical skills, to meet the current apprenticeship trailblazer standards.
  • Manage and maintain physical learning resources and teaching spaces to ensure effective training and assessment of learners.
  • Create and develop learning content, including schemes-of-work, to meet the needs of apprentices and industry partners.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide support to ensure successful completion of apprenticeships.
  • Work with the DSL to ensure learner workplace Health, Safety, and welfare.
  • Support the development of apprentices' softer skills, such as communication and teamwork.

Requirements:

  • Industry-related qualifications, such as HND or NVQs, in electrical engineering.
  • 18th Edition qualification to deliver industrial electrical engineering.
  • Functional Skills Level 2 or GCSEs in Maths and English, grade C or above.
  • CAVA or equivalent assessor qualifications.
  • Recognised Training/Teaching Qualification.
  • Internal Quality Assurance qualifications.
  • High level of electrical engineering knowledge, preferably gained from industrial experience.
  • Experience in delivery of electrical principles and industrial electrical control, motor control, and panel building.
  • Evidence of lean practices and training delivery.
