Gi Group Professionals is collaborating with a prominent manufacturer within the essential supply chain for the construction industry. We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Maintenance Specialist to join our dynamic engineering team.


Key Responsibilities:

As an Electrical Systems Maintenance Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the optimal performance and efficiency of the facilities and machinery utilized in the production of various materials and products. This role encompasses comprehensive preventative maintenance and the management of equipment breakdowns across a diverse range of machinery, including:

  • Mechanical and electrical systems
  • Fully automated machinery
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Gas catalytic ovens
  • Conveyors
  • Pneumatic systems
  • Presses
  • 5-axis CNC machining centers

Typical Duties Include:
  • Adhering to safety protocols and conducting risk assessments.
  • Ensuring all machine safety systems and guarding are consistently maintained.
  • Performing regular inspections and checks on machinery.
  • Documenting all maintenance activities and managing spare parts inventory.
  • Coordinating maintenance workshops within the facility.
  • Exhibiting flexibility in working hours and availability for weekend duties as necessary.
  • Assisting the maintenance manager as required.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • City and Guilds in Electrical Installation, Regulations, and Principles or equivalent.
  • City and Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or similar qualifications.
  • City and Guilds in Electrical Testing.
  • City and Guilds in Engineering.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is essential.
  • Proficiency in Siemens PLC fault diagnosis.
  • Knowledge of CNC machinery is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret various electrical wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with automated production lines is also beneficial.
