Job Title: Test Centre Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Test Centre Administrator. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of tests to candidates, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide a high level of customer service to candidates, ensuring their needs are met with understanding and respect.
  • Test Delivery: Ensure the efficient delivery of tests to candidates, following procedures and guidelines provided by the company.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure all compliance standards relating to the test centre operation and Pearson VUE's stringent security protocols are adhered to.
  • Relationship Building: Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and candidates, ensuring a positive and respectful environment.
  • Test Integrity: Ensure the integrity and security of tests are maintained, and they are supervised to the required standard.
  • Incident Reporting: Comply with all incident reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Training and Development: Maintain own competencies in all systems and procedures, requesting training as necessary.
  • Business Needs: Comply with business needs on a day-to-day basis, ensuring personal responsibility for understanding and delivery of testing following updates and changes to client requirements/testing.
  • Centre Profitability: Assist and support business initiatives to maximize centre profitability.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform other administrative tasks as required, including daily test centre opening and closing procedures.

Key Activities:

  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure equipment is operational and test stations are in working order to deliver testing.
  • Log Review: Review transmission and error logs in locally operating software to ensure correct functionality.
  • Examination Management: Periodic download and review of examinations and test centre schedules.
  • Candidate Preparation: Review test schedule and ensure the preparation for candidates (including those with special needs) is made.
  • Candidate Sign-in: Process candidates' sign-in (including verification of candidate identity) according to Pearson VUE and client procedures.
  • Test Process Explanation: Explain the test process to candidates and deal with other queries as required.
  • Score Reports: Print and provide post-test score reports to candidates as required.
  • Scheduling: Schedule appointments for possible call-in and/or walk-in candidates as required.
  • Technical Support: Liaise with Pearson VUE technical support staff to investigate and resolve technical issues.
  • Hours and Leave: Ensure all hours and leave are recorded and authorised within Company guidelines.
  • Centre Environment: Help to ensure a clean, professional, quiet testing atmosphere in the centre.
  • Concerns Communication: Ensure all concerns are communicated to the Test Centre Manager in a timely manner.
  • Accreditation and Skills Checks: Undertake all accreditations and skills checks as required by the business.
  • Event Support: Support and deliver any events and alternative test delivery processes as defined, both in permanent and temporary locations.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake reasonable additional duties to ensure the smooth running of the test centre.

Working Arrangements:

  • Location: You will be based in one of the Pearson VUE test centres.
  • Travel: Some local travel to other PPC's or temporary locations may be required.
  • Flexibility: A flexible approach to working is essential for this position as opening hours and days will vary according to the volume of tests booked.

Essential Experience and Qualifications:

  • Customer-Focused Experience: Experience in a customer-focused environment.
  • Communication Skills: Good face-to-face communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Competent in the use of Windows-based applications, including Web Mail, Excel, Word, and Internet Explorer.
  • Initiative and Problem-Solving: Ability to work independently and use initiative within organisational guidelines to meet objectives.
  • Conflict Resolution: Ability to deal with conflict and work under pressure.

  • Testing Environment Experience: Experience in a testing environment.
