Position Overview

Binnies, a part of the RSK Group, is seeking a dedicated Site Manager to become an integral member of our @one Alliance.

Your Role as Site Manager

In this pivotal position, you will oversee designated project sites, leading teams of supervisors, delivery personnel, and subcontractors. Your focus will be on optimizing resource utilization to adhere to budgetary constraints and delivery timelines while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exemplify strong leadership in Health & Safety practices on-site, contributing to our exemplary low incident frequency rate.
  • Drive cultural transformation within the Delivery and Design Teams to minimize waste, both physical and non-physical.
  • Manage site-based supervisors and delivery teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coach team members to enhance performance and mitigate conflicts effectively.
  • Ensure all initiatives are implemented smoothly by understanding project requirements and solutions.
  • Maintain essential site documentation, including Health & Safety records, Operation & Maintenance Manuals, and contracts, in compliance with legislation and company standards.
  • Specify procurement needs for equipment, materials, and subcontractors, utilizing a financial management system.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams and planners to manage site performance proactively.
  • Participate in collaborative planning and project rehearsals to ensure optimal buildability during the design phase.
  • Promote high-quality workmanship on-site, addressing defects promptly and ensuring timely rectification.

Required Skills and Experience:

To excel in this role, you should possess a certificate in Site Safety Management (or have completed a 5-day course) along with a managerial CSCS card, complemented by extensive experience in the Water, Mechanical, and Electrical/Construction sectors. Additionally, completion of SEATS (Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme), First Aid at Work courses, and certification as a Fire Marshall is essential to uphold safety standards.

Your proven ability to lead diverse teams, combined with your strong site knowledge and commercial acumen, will be crucial in minimizing costs and maximizing value throughout project phases. While advanced IT skills are not mandatory, familiarity with Microsoft Office for administrative tasks and basic project management is beneficial.
