About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager and Site Manager in the day-to-day control of the site, management and delivery of project works, and the day-to-day management and delivery of a larger scale housing project.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager and Site Manager in the day-to-day control of the site, management and delivery of project works.
- Manage and deliver a larger scale housing project, ensuring timely completion and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with internal and external design teams to meet project deadlines.
- Develop and maintain detailed plans to ensure material, resource, and supply chain delivery meets scheduled deadlines.
- Monitor and manage sub-contractors, including contractor attendance and progress, to ensure contractual arrangements are achieved.
- Ensure compliance with Vistry site procedures and maintain all daily, weekly, and monthly site paperwork to meet audit requirements.
- Participate in safety initiatives and maintain site cleanliness and presentation at all times.
- Lead by example, managing the day-to-day delivery of construction projects, quality, time, procurement, and contractors.
Requirements
- SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, and Scaffold inspection qualification.
- Self-sufficient, works independently, and can deliver projects with some support from visiting Contracts Manager.
- Hands-on, boots-on-site, interacting with trades and their supervision.
- Able to work on any project secured by the business within a reasonable locality.
