Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 + £7k Bonus (Total Earnings: £42,000 - £44,000 OTE)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday

Role Overview:

First Military Recruitment Ltd is excited to partner with a leading Events Management company seeking to hire a Technical Support Manager for Live Events on a permanent basis due to expansion.

This organization primarily delivers services for corporate events, which typically occur on weekdays, although some weekend availability may be necessary. The role offers significant flexibility in working hours, recognizing that this position does not conform to a standard 9-5 schedule.

The Technical Support Manager plays a crucial role in assisting the sales team with the technical dimensions of projects. This includes on-site leadership of the team and overseeing the more intricate aspects of event execution.

This position serves as the vital link between sales and project delivery, collaborating with account management, operations, technical, and warehouse teams, as well as clients, to outline achievable technical solutions and identify potential risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all technical components are addressed and managed for each event, from initial brief creation to post-event debriefing.
  • Identify risks to successful event delivery, communicate findings with relevant departments, and develop contingency plans.
  • Accompany installation teams on-site and oversee the implementation of events.
  • Engage with event organizers on-site, coordinating all activities effectively.
  • Work strategically with senior management and colleagues to explore innovative and efficient operational methods.

Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in sound and/or video technology for live events, with a solid understanding of lighting.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical roles within the live events sector, whether as an employee or freelancer.
  • Excellent planning abilities, capable of organizing technical requirements and associated personnel.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, particularly in meeting management and written communication.
  • Proven teamwork skills, able to collaborate with diverse professionals in producing live events.
  • Comprehensive IT skills.
  • Experience in providing technical services for virtual events is advantageous.
