Environmental Health and Safety Manager

As an Environmental Health and Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and the environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute an annual safety strategy and targets for the site, working closely with Operations Managers and Senior Management Team to ensure effective delivery of the EHS plan. Manage the site's HSE management system, ensuring compliance with PepsiCo Global standards and internal/external audit requirements. Provide support and coaching to functional teams to ensure compliance with current legislation and site standards. Drive a safety culture through effective communications and continuous improvement, leading by example in embedding a culture of outstanding communication and achievement. Manage the site's EHS team and overall responsibility for site's EHS competence development, developing and delivering appropriate EHS functional and cultural development training. Support the UK Health and Safety and Environmental team meetings, creating policy and devising tactical steps to achieve UK's targets.
Requirements
Recognised safety qualification, ideally IOSH/NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of legal/working requirements of Health & Safety at Work, ISO 45000. Self-starter with ability to identify and articulate value-add opportunities. Capable and experienced people leader with influencing, motivating and coaching skills. Ability to communicate with, engage and influence all levels of stakeholders. Ability to think strategically, translate into practical outputs and drive the agenda forwards to deliver results. Coaching skills with ability to listen to and understand people's needs and adapt style to achieve best outcomes. High drive for results and ability to deliver the Health, Safety & Environmental agenda in tandem with the UK's agenda, thinking creatively to deliver results in times of competing priorities. Strong communication skills with ability to take terminology and translate into impactful and easily understood messages for the operations team.
