Key Responsibilities:- Health and Safety: Provide expert advice and guidance on health and safety matters to support the business in minimizing risks and ensuring compliance with relevant statutory provisions.
- Environmental Management: Ensure that our environmental management systems meet business needs and maintain ISO 14001 and 45001 accreditations.
- Audits and Inspections: Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure timely completion and closure of actions.
- Training and Development: Conduct health and safety induction training for new starters and specify specialist training as required.
- Communication and Collaboration: Liaise with enforcing authorities, departments, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Waste Management: Manage the safe disposal of waste, including hazardous substances, and ensure relevant paperwork is produced.
- Asbestos and Noise Reports: Follow up on reports and ensure close out of actions.
- Departmental Support: Support departmental managers to ensure company safety and environmental objectives are met.
- Team Collaboration: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues in the Health, Safety, and Environmental Department.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar health and safety environment.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, environmental management systems, and risk management principles.
- Education: Relevant qualifications in health and safety, environmental management, or a related field.
