Role Overview:
As a Trainee Customs Process Administrator, you will be responsible for processing client data, managing shipping information, and applying customs and excise duties and procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Main Duties:
- Assist in managing customs processes efficiently and effectively.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, ensuring clear and effective communication within the team.
- Develop your strengths and improve your weaknesses through on-the-job training and guidance.
- Learn basic customs import formalities and procedures using SCDP (Special Customs Declaration Procedures).
- Operate Duty Management computer systems, ensuring compliance with authorisation and SOPs.
- Process customs warehouse removals within compliant timeframes and maintain accurate stock records.
- Perform general office administration tasks, such as filing and recordkeeping.
- Liaise with HMRC, clients, and suppliers regularly, providing excellent customer service.
Essential Qualifications:
Minimum 5 GCSEs grade C or above, including English and Mathematics. A good academic record is also required. Full training would be given, making this position ideal for a college leaver or 2nd jobber.
