Customs Administrator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customs Process Administrator to join our dynamic team at Red Recruit. As a Customs Process Administrator, you will play a crucial role in processing client data, managing shipping information, and applying customs and excise duties and procedures.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing customs processes efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, working closely with colleagues to achieve common goals.
- Develop your strengths and improve your weaknesses through ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Ensure clear and effective communication within the team, providing feedback to the Team Leader and team on tasks.
- Learn basic customs import formalities and procedures using SCDP (Special Customs Declaration Procedures).
- Operate Duty Management computer systems, processing customs warehouse removals within compliant timeframes and maintaining stock records.
- Perform general office administration tasks, such as filing and recordkeeping, to support the smooth operation of the team.
- Liaise with HMRC, clients, and suppliers regularly, providing excellent customer service and support.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 5 GCSEs grade C or above, including English and Mathematics.
- A good academic record, demonstrating a strong foundation in mathematics and English.
- Full training would be given, making this an ideal opportunity for a college leaver or 2nd jobber.
