Our client, a leading player in the field, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their dynamic team as a Trainee Customs Clerk. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in customs and shipping, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing customs processes efficiently and effectively.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, ensuring seamless communication and cooperation.
- Develop your skills and knowledge in customs import formalities and procedures using SCDP (Special Customs Declaration Procedures).
- Operate Duty Management computer systems, ensuring accurate and timely processing of customs data.
- Process customs warehouse removals within compliant timeframes, maintaining accurate stock records.
- Perform general office administration tasks, such as filing and recordkeeping, to support the team's efforts.
- Liaise with HMRC, clients, and suppliers regularly, providing excellent customer service and support.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 GCSEs grade C or above, including English and Mathematics.
- A good academic record, demonstrating a strong foundation in core subjects.
- Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for a college leaver or 2nd jobber.
