Customs Administrator

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Trainee Customs Clerk. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in processing client data, managing shipping information, and applying customs and excise duties and procedures.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing customs processes efficiently and effectively.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, ensuring clear and effective communication within the team.
- Develop your strengths and improve your weaknesses through comprehensive training and support.
- Learn basic customs import formalities and procedures using SCDP (Special Customs Declaration Procedures).
- Operate Duty Management computer systems and assist with the day-to-day management of duty management accounts.
- Process customs warehouse removals within compliant timeframes and maintain accurate stock records.
- Perform general office administration tasks, such as filing and recordkeeping.
- Liaise with HMRC, clients, and suppliers regularly to ensure seamless communication and compliance.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 GCSEs grade C or above, including English and Mathematics.
- A good academic record and a strong desire to learn and grow in the field of customs and shipping.
- Full training would be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for a college leaver or 2nd jobber.
